Alphonso of Maharashtra, Dasheri and Chausa of Uttar Pradesh, Himsagar of West Bengal, Fajli and Gulab Khaas of Bihar, are some of the popular varieties of mangoes in India. If you still haven’t gotten your share, it is time to head out and get one. Chef Saransh Goila took to Instagram to share the recipe of the summer favourite aam papad which can be prepared by using minimum ingredients.
“Videshi aam papad without any added sugar makes for a crazy experiment in your home kitchen. It’s pretty #Delishaaas and a whole lot of fun!” he wrote in the caption of the reel. According to him, it makes for a lip-smacking treat that can be prepared in a jiffy.
Here’s the recipe.
Ingredients
* 3 mangoes
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 tsp aamchur powder
* 1/2 tsp jeera powder
* 1 tsp red chilli powder
* 1 tsp chaat masala
Method
* Take three mangoes and cut them in three parts.
* Make a puree of the mangoes in a blender.
* In a bowl, pour the mango puree. Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp aamchur powder, 1/2 tsp jeera powder and 1 tsp red chilli powder. Mix everything well.
* Add 1 tsp chaat masala.
* Take a tray, cover with a silicon mat and spread the puree evenly on it.
* Dry in the oven at 100 degrees C for three hours.
* After taking it out of the oven, peel it carefully.
* Cut it into strips and enjoy.
“You can use it as a garnish on your mango 🥭 desserts or just enjoy it like a candy,” Goila added in the caption.
